Australia is a unique place.

It always was. Many of the first Europeans to set foot here didn't really try to understand this place, its unique animals or the people who called this land home. I am still shocked at how little the Europeans seemed to care for what was living here. Where was their curiosity? Where was their empathy? What would Australia look like today if instead of conquering this place we had stepped into a caring relationship with all that was here?

Creating Change Through Storytelling

My path has been one of discovery, connection, and storytelling. The journey began with a deep dive into the ancient culture and poignant stories of the remote Aboriginal communities of Australia after leaving my first career in the high-flying corporate world.

I was captivated by the rich tapestry of the history and the wisdom inherent in many traditional Aboriginal values. Sensing an urgent need for their voices to be heard, I have dedicated myself for over two decades to bringing these stories to light in a collaborative process.

Along the way I have been blessed with friendship at the deepest level and shared experiences in untouched, natural places where it has been easy for my spirit to sing.

What Inspires Me

Driven by a commitment to learn about this world through collaboration and friendship, I am inspired by what I learn about this place and find myself wishing to share many Indigenous values such as caring for country through film, so that we can all take care of each other and the earth a little better.

I hope my work bridges divides, illuminates wisdom and inspires global empathy

and action.

Kanyini

A necessary and beautiful film

Kanyini looks at the world’s oldest living culture in a way that’s never been seen before. A tale of Indigenous wisdom clashing against materialistic notions of progress, Kanyini is not only a story of one man and his people but of the human race. It is also a story that is fundamental for understanding contemporary Australia, for only by knowing our past and our present can we dream of a future which includes everyone.
